Head Instructor & Acupuncturist

Scott Bendell, Lic., Ac.
Born in 1976, I became passionate about martial arts and spirituality from a young age. As a child, I remember intuitively finding sore points on my mother's back which helped relieve her migraines. Growing up, I remember being drawn to ancient spiritual traditions as they carried with them a powerful spirit, that I felt.
After graduating college with an Engineering degree, I decided to pursue my heartfelt interests in healing, martial arts, and spirituality at the New England School of Acupuncture. I found school transformative on so many levels as it taught me a completely new way of thinking based on traditional Daoist Medicinal philosophy. I also followed my passion for ancient self-healing arts by studying with the Grandmaster of Primordial Daoism. From him I learned medical Qigong, and Internal Martial Arts. In 2002, I graduated with a degree in Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture.
A year later, I opened my first acupuncture practice in NJ where I began to share some of the ancient traditions I had learned. Over time I studied with several healers and a Celtic Shaman, all of whom helped me on my path to self discovery.
In 2008 I met the founders of the Kunlun System, Diana Daoshi and Mugen Roshi (Max Christensen), who taught me many life changing practices aimed at purifying out physical, mental, and spiritual toxins.
I learned to sit still and feel happy and grateful--something that I couldn't do for a long time previously. To this day I am devoted to the Kunlun System and study with the founders as I continue to work on balancing out emotions, and working towards living a heart centered path.
In addition I continue to study the Okinawan Art of Hakutsuru (White Crane) under Hanshi Vellucci, as well as Tai Chi and Neigong under various teachers.
The more I learn, the more I see that compassion is key to healing. I bring this, and more, to make my acupuncture sessions a unique and whole-healing experience.
In 2021, I moved to New Hampshire with my wife and 3 cats. We enjoy taking walks into nature, practicing tea ceremony, exploring new places and respecting our natural surroundings.

Story

About Us
BSCHA was developed as an idea by Scott and his wife Berta in order to share traditional Internal Martial Arts for self-development, as well as Daoist, Buddhist, and Shamanic meditation methods in order to promote harmony and healing within each and every person seeking change. Classes are held online in order to promote these healing arts to all people. We are grateful for the practices that we've learned and hope other people will find them as helpful as they have been in our lives.
