Born in Middletown NJ, Scott first began to explore martial arts in high school through a Japanese art form called, Aikido. Around this time, he also began to develop an interest in Celtic spiritual arts.
Scott went on to study at Rutgers College of Engineering where he continued to participate in martial arts through various college clubs, including Capoeira, Judo, Eskrima, Taijiquan, and Qigong.
